Helen Henderson, Managing Director

Helen is the managing director of HenderWorks, Inc. She has served a  consultant on a variety of education and youth related activities to local schools and community groups.  She was among three Washington state recipients of the US Department of Education's 1999 John L. Stanford Award for helping to promote excellence in education.  Earlier she was honored as one of the Golden Apple Award winners for the state of Washington.

She is a mathematics graduate from North Carolina Central University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She is also a member of the Tacoma chapter of The Links, Inc.


Effenus Henderson, Founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Effenus is has over 30 years of forest products industry experience (Weyerhaeuser) in a variety of human resource positions covering International Human Resources, compensation, benefits, diversity, staffing, organizational development, and work systems change.  He has written many articles, and consulted with companies and organizations both in the US and internationally on human resource matters.  

He is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program ('95) and attended UCLA's Anderson School's China Executive Exchange.  He has the Senior Professional in Human Resource Management (SPHR).  He is a founding member of the Pacific Northwest Expatriate Roundtable and a recognized expert on international human resources.

He is a graduate of North Carolina Central University where he was one of the founders of Tau Phi Tau Fraternity.

He is an active leader in the Urban League movement, education, and related civic activities and serves on the National Urban League Board, former Vice President of Scoutreach, Western Region - Boy Scouts of America, and served previously on the St Francis Hospital Community Health Council Chair. He currently serves as a member of the Northwest Advisory Council for the United Negro College Fund.  Additionally, he current serves on the Puget Sound INROADS board.

He is the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award in Scouting.


 

Kevin Henderson, Technology Advisor

Kevin is a 1997 graduate of Morehouse College with a BS in Computer Science.  He is currently employed by Accenture where he currently works as Consultant Technical Architect.   He is married to Latonda Cooks Henderson, a Spelman graduate and fellow Accenture employee.

He has worked for the IBM corporation in an information technology area where he has specialized in java script development and web design.  He has worked for E-Tour.Com (Pre-IPO company) as  Java Architect and is currently employed by  He serves as an advisor to Go2 e-HR.com.  

He is an Eagle Scout.


Justin Henderson, Entertainment Division Advisor

Justin is founder of 219 Productions, Inc.  He is a 2002 honors graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. 

He helped write and produce the title song for the movie "Two Can Play That Game" featuring Vivica Fox and Morris Chestnutt.  He has worked with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Lloyd Banks, and Warren G.   His most recent project was the music for the movie "Hair Show."

He was also instrumental in composing the music and lyrics for the song "Gotta Stop It!" The song was used to educate youth about the impact of the anti-affirmative action initiate entitled:  "I-200" in the state of Washington.  

He is an Eagle Scout.  


Marcus Henderson, Web Engineer

Marcus is a 2005 honor graduation of Morehouse College.  He is employed by Accenture as a computer consultant. He is a Ron McNair NASA Scholar and interned at NASA's Cleveland facility during the  summer of 2002 and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA in 2003 & 2004. 

 He is an Eagle Scout.

 

HenderWorks was founded in 1999 and incorporated in the state of Washington in January 2000.
